abscesses- skin abscess is a tender mass generally surrounded by a colored area from pink to deep red

anemia- most common blood disorder, which is low levels of healthy red blood cell

antibacterial- anything that can destroy bacteria or suppresses their growth or ability to reproduce

antidepressant- medications that can help relieve symptoms of depression, social anxiety disorder

aphrodisiac- substances that increase sexual desire, sexual pleasure or sexual behavior

arthritis- the swelling and tenderness of one or more of your joints

astringent- water based skin care that are used to cleanse the skin

biliousness- bad digestion, stomach pains, constipation, and excessive flatulence

bronchitis- an infection of the main airways of the lungs (bronchi), causing them to become irritated and inflamed

C

cholera- an infectious disease that causes severe watery diarrhea, which can lead to dehydration and even death if untreated

cholestasis- a liver disease, occurs when the flow of bile from your liver is reduced or blocked

contusion- happens when an injured capillary or blood vessel leaks blood into the surrounding area

cystitis- an inflammation of the bladder. Inflammation is where part of your body becomes irritated, red, or swollen

decoction- Boil herbs with water and simmer covered for 20-30 minutes

dysuria- medical term for pain or discomfort when urinating

dyspepsia- known as indigestion, refers to discomfort or pain that occurs in the upper abdomen, often after eating or drinking

dysentery- an intestinal inflammation, primarily of the colon, can lead to mild or severe stomach cramps and severe diarrhea with mucus or blood in the feces

flatulence- commonly known as farting, passing wind, or having gas, flatulence is a medical term for releasing gas from the digestive system through the anus

gonorrhoea- an infection caused by a sexually transmitted bacterium that infects both males and females

gleet- chronic inflammation (such as gonorrhea) of a bodily orifice usually accompanied by an abnormal discharge

haematemesis- simply defined as “vomiting blood”. It is caused by bleeding from part of the upper portion of the gastrointestinal tract

hyperkeratosis- a skin condition that occurs when a person’s skin becomes thicker than usual in certain places

hypertension- also known as high blood pressure (HBP), is a long-term medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is persistently elevated

infusion- Boil hot water, pour over the herbs and cover to steep for 10 minutes

impotency- a condition that prevents males from maintaining an erection throughout the sex act

jaundice- condition in which the skin, sclera (whites of the eyes) and mucous membranes turn yellow

nausea- stomach discomfort and the sensation of wanting to vomit

ophthalmia- an inflammation of an eye, resulting in a congestion of eyeballs, eye-watering, heavy itching and burning, as well as an impression

phlegm- the term that is used to refer to mucus produced by the respiratory system, particularly when excess mucus is produced and coughed up, contain the viruses or bacteria

psoriasis- skin disorder that causes skin cells to multiply up to 10 times faster than normal

rheumatism- conditions causing chronic, often intermittent pain affecting the joints or connective tissue

spermatorrhoea- a condition of excessive, involuntary ejaculation, in which certain patterns of involuntary ejaculation reflect problems with kidney

supporations- process of pus formation, called suppuration, occurs when the agent that provoked the inflammation is difficult to eliminate

syphilis- a sexually transmitted infection that can cause serious health problems if it is not treated
